Anthony George Lowe "Tony" GRISDALE

He died on 2nd August 2019 Aged 86 yrs.

Formerly of Manchester, Manchester & Salford & GMP

   Tony joined Manchester City Police in September 1958, and was posted to 'E'
Division.  Due to amalgamations he served in three forces - Manchester City Police, Manchester and Salford Police and GMP.  He retired in 1988 from Force Headquarters.

   Following an incident in 1966, which involved tackling a man who was armed with a gun and a knife, Tony suffered stab wounds and required hospital treatment.  As a result Tony received the 'Queen's Award for Brave Conduct'.
